The role of the Management Committee is to manage the organisation by affirming
and promoting its vision, its purpose and its priorities. This is done in three
ways:
- By developing and safeguarding the vision of advocacy and community
living on behalf of people with disability,
- By managing the resources, energies, work, activities and wellbeing of the
organisation as a whole,
- By managing the staff who work for the organisation.
The Management Committee currently consists of 5 parent members including
1 member from regional areas. The Committee meet formally once a month
with regional members linked by phone. Each Committee Member takes on
certain responsibilities according to their positions and expertise.
