CURRENT BOARD DETAILS
The role of the Board is to govern the organisation by affirming and promoting its vision, its purpose and its priorities. This is done in three ways:
By ensuring and safeguarding the vision of advocacy and community living on behalf of people with disability,
By ensuring the resources, energies, work, activities and wellbeing of the organisation as a whole is managed well,
By supporting the staff who work for the organisation.
The Board currently consists of 4 parent members including 1 member from a regional area. The Board meets formally once a month with the regional member linked by phone. Each Board member takes on certain responsibilities according to their positions and expertise.

The Board consults with members annually in setting priorities for the systems advocacy work at the Annual General Meeting of the organisation. At this time, a review of the work of the previous year is undertaken.
