Staying connected with people with disability and their families across Queensland

Picture of regional area

We strive to remain connected with regional and remote members of the organisation to ensure you have input into the advocacy efforts and direction of the organisation.

When we cannot connect face to face with members we aim to keep you informed about the range of information that comes into the office by:

  • Using our website as a dynamic site where information is constantly uploaded;
  • Using social networking sites, such as Facebook as a medium of advocacy development by uploading current debates, review and conversations in the disability sector;
  • Hosting coffee conversations and Skype session which you can access online;
  • Using YouTube where you will be able to watch sections from events and forums held by QPPD.

We see that social media gives us increased ways to stay in touch with members and we look forward to communicating with you this way. We also want to maintain our face to face contact with you and look forward to seeing you in your community when we travel to the regions. You are welcome to contact the office and propose a visit to your region to discuss issues and advocacy efforts.
